Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Operation Light Force ("we", "us") for your use of the God Speaks Bible app ("the app"). By using the app or creating an account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The app

The app is free to use. It shows public-domain Bible translations with the God Speaks color coding, reading plans, a private journal, a prayer list, and optional friends features. The lessons of the God Speaks Workbook are included for days 1 to 3; the remaining days unlock with a code that comes with a purchased workbook or bundle. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• You can delete your account at any time in Profile & Settings.

Your content

What you write in the app (journal entries, prayer requests, notes, and similar content) belongs to you. You give us permission only to store it, sync it to your devices, and show it to you and to the friends you choose to share specific items with. We do not use your private content for any other purpose. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Treating others well

When you use the friends features, you agree not to:

• harass, threaten, shame, or bully anyone;
• send spam, advertising, or unwanted messages;
• pretend to be someone else, or use a picture or name you do not have the right to use;
• share content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or that exposes someone's private information.

You can block or report anyone from the Friends screen. We may remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we may report unlawful activity to the authorities.

Using the app fairly

Do not try to get around the workbook unlock, access other people's data, overload or disrupt the service, scrape it with automated tools, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

Ownership

The Bible translations in the app are in the public domain. Cross references come from OpenBible.info under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 license. The God Speaks color coding of the Scriptures, the workbook lessons, the names God Speaks and Operation Light Force, the logos, and the app's design belong to Operation Light Force or its licensors. You may use them for your personal, non-commercial reading and study, and you may share individual verses as the app allows. Please do not copy, sell, or republish the color coding or lessons without our written permission.

Unlock codes

An unlock code is for the person who bought the workbook or bundle (or received it as a gift) and is good for the number of uses printed with it. Codes may not be sold or published. A code that has been shared publicly, resold, or obtained by guessing may be cancelled.

Not professional advice

The app supports personal Bible reading, reflection, and prayer. It is not a substitute for pastoral care or for professional medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis or danger, contact local emergency services.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the app available and your content safe, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors. We recommend downloading your data from time to time (Profile & Settings > Your data). We may change these terms; if a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

Disclaimers and limits of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Operation Light Force will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app or workbook in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50, whichever is more. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

Ending your use

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the app; if we stop offering it, we will give reasonable notice so you can download your data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.
